HUDSON'S ON THE BEND OFFICIALLY REOPENS
New ownership has assembled a first-rate culinary team and new menu, and artfully modernized the space, all the while preserving the soul of the original restaurant. The Prime Thyme Restaurant Group purchased Hudson’s on the Bend from founder and legendary restaurateur Chef Jeff Blank in the spring of 2016.
MEET THE HUDSON'S TEAM
A Lake Travis native, Executive Chef Billy Caruso was a partner in Easy Tiger and 24 Diner and has a resume that includes Austin dining favorites such as III Forks, Botticelli’s and Paggi House. Chef de Cuisine Brandon Silver's past experience includes the world-class Noma in Copenhagen, Denmark, as well as at Austin’s Qui. Pastry Chef Rosie Gibson was the former pastry sous chef at Launderette and creates handcrafted, whimsical desserts, often including produce harvested from the Hudson’s gardens. Another Lake Travis native, Chris McFall, named Wine & Spirits Magazine’s Best New Sommelier in 2012 and worked at Sullivan’s Steakhouse, Red Room Lounge & Wine Bar and Lamberts Downtown Barbecue, oversees Hudson’s spectacular new wine program and the new wine cellar. Bar Boss Stephen Keys is a longtime bartender and mixologist who’s worked in restaurants from Maine to Florida and Las Vegas to Boston and Chicago and has created a farm-to-glass-focused beverage program that includes many grown-from-scratch ingredients, weekly featured sangrias and signature cocktails. Director of Private Affairs Emily Hines, who moved to Austin from D.C., has an extensive background in events.
HUDSON'S HAPPY HOUR
Hudson's has just launched Happy Hour, every Tuesday through Friday, from 430pm to 630pm. Enjoy half priced select appetizers, Hudson’s specialty martinis and cocktails.
$5 house sangria and $25 pitchers of sangria also available.
